Early Times Report jammu, Mar 30: With J&K recorded highest single-day spike of Covid positive cases this year, authorities have issued directions for opening of educational institutions from April 1. "In view of the recent spikes in reported cases of infections, educational institutions are strongly advised to take full safety precautions maintaining sanitation and hygienic early identification and isolation of suspect cases", the order mentioned, adding, "wherever possible, online/ distance learning shall continue to be the preferred mode of teaching and online classes smoothly and some students prefer to attend these online classes rather than physically attend the school, thev may be permitted to do so". Meanwhile J&K recorded highest single-day spike so far this year, 359 cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections in Jammu and Kashmir to 130587. As per official bullet issued this evening, 93 fresh cases were reported from Jammu and 266 from Kashmir. Also, one COVID-19 death has been reported from Kashmir. 175 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals, including 20 from Jammu and 155 from Kashmir. |
