JAMMU, Mar 30: Celebrating Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav NSS unit in collaboration with the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav committee of GDC Ramnagar organizes the event coloring the campus with the colors of unity, love, traditions and culture on the celebration of the festival of Holi on the theme 'Rang De' under the patronship of Udhey Bhanu, principal GDC Ramnagar.
The NSS volunteers under the supervision of Prof Ritika Mahajan, Programme Officer, NSS Unit participated in various activities like coloring the walls of the campus, coloring the stones and coloring the tree trunks.
NSS volunteers painted the walls keeping in view the topics like Dogra culture, a salute to Corona warriors, girl education, Baba Jitto jiwani, Radhe Krishna playing Holi etc. Various important slogans and cautions were painted on the stones to create awareness in a colorful manner like save water save life, say no to drugs, go corona go etc.
Around 80 volunteers participated to make the event successful and Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar, Prof Suresh Kumar Dogra, Prof Brinder Kumar and Prof Swarna Devi, senior faculty of the college lauded the efforts of the volunteers and the Programme Officer. |
