Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 11: Locals of Digiana under the banner of Gandhi Nagar People's Front organized a signature campaign for highlighting the issue pertaining to Ward 45 and Ward 46. More than 200 locals signed the charter of demands raised by Gandhi Nagar People's Front which principally highlighted Poor Condition of Road from Digiana Police Station to Rani Talab Masjid and Uneven Nallah coverings from Shastri Nagar Shamshan Ghat to Digiana police station. Deepak Gupta, said that the road is in its worst condition from last 3 years. Although people have highlighted these issues before the administration several times yet no action in this direction is initiated. He further said that Ward 45,46,20,23,56,43,44 are most densely populated wards in Gandhi Nagar and need administration's regular review of the administration for all the ongoing works. He further said that the issue of the road from Digiana Police Station to Rani Talab Masjid is not only for the people of two wards but it is a very frequently used road for people of Jammu as link road to Gangyal, Nanak Nagar, Preet Nagar and administration must take it with dire seriousness for the benefit of people. He further said that Nallah Work done by UEED department in Digiana is sub standard work and has given no benefit to the people but the uneven Nallah Coverings has now became the place of regular accidents and these coverings should either be levelled or be replaced by Concrete Coverings. |
