JAMMU, Apr 11: The 3rd General Body Meeting of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) held here today. Patron-in Chief of the Trust Dr Masud A Choudhary, former founding Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri presided over the meeting. Large number of General Body members participated. The members were welcomed by the outgoing Chairman Ch. Abdul Hamid and other members of the executive body. The outgoing chairman highlighted the achievements of Trust during his tenure. The senior vice chairman of the Trust Ch Mohd Hanief Chouhan apprised the members about the past three years achievements of the Trust. He placed six resolutions before the House for approval which were unanimously approved by the General body.
Dr Masud A. Choudhary, Patron-in Chief of the Trust while speaking on the occasion said that the outgoing team headed by Ch. Abdul Hamid took the Trust to new heights during his tenure of three years. Dr. Choudhary expressed his gratitude for participation of large number of members in the General Body Meeting particularly the youth.
On the occasion Dr. Masud A Choudhary was also conferred with title "Baba-e-Qaum" a Life Time Achievement Award instituted by the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust for his contributions in awakening of Gurjar Community. The new Executive Body of the Trust was elected unanimously / by consensus amongst the Trustees.
Shah Mohammad Choudhary Advocate was elected as Chairman. Arshad Ali Choudhary as Sr Vice-Chairman. Besides Chairman and Sr Vice Chairman, Ch. Hamid Hussain was elected as Vice-Chairman. The responsibility of General Secretary has been assigned to Ch Mohd Sharief Chouhan, Ch Iftikhar Hussain Chouhan has been the assigned the responsibility of Financial Advisor/ Treasurer respectively. Ch. Asif Khaliq Poswal has been given the post of Secretary.
