Srinagar, Apr 24: People belonging to different walks of life have condoled the demise of Dr. Malik Abdul Rashid, former Deputy Director, Directorate of Health Services Kashmir who passed away at SKIMS Soura on Thursday April 22. Dr. Abdul Rashid was the father of Jehangir Rashid Malik, Special Correspondent Early Times.
Scores of people visited the residence of Dr. Abdul Rashid at Gouripora, Sanat Nagar-Srinagar and conveyed their condolence and sympathy with the bereaved family. Many others conveyed their condolence through telephone and social media.
Dr. Abdul Rashid joined the health department in 1971 and superannuated as Deputy Director on January 31, 2006. During his career he served as CMO Srinagar, CMO Kupwara and DHO Srinagar. He was an upright officer and was regarded highly in the department. |
