| Youth found hanged near Kishtwar holy site, police suspect paranormal suicide | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, Apr 24: In a tragic incident, 28 year old youth allegedly committed suicide at a place believed to have a spiritual belief by hanging himself with a tree-- what initial investigation led believe to be a case of paranormal suicide.
As per the details available with Early Times, through reliable information received by Kishtwar police that a dead body under suspicious condition was found hanging at Bardan near Gudresh-Nag Devta situated eastward of Kishtwar town, a place believed to have been mythological importance since people from Hindu community had a strong religious belief and even people visited the spot to offer Puja and havan. Acting swiftly, a police team headed by DySP Headquarter Kishtwar Devinder Singh Bandral along with SHO PS Kishtwar Abid Bukhari reached the spot and the dead body was taken into possession.
Senior Police officials told the Early Times that as per identity card (Aadhaar Card) the deceased was identified as Pardeep Kumar, son of Bihari Lal of Janwas Sarthal.
Following the recovery of the dead body, Kishtwar police shifted it to District Hospital Kishtwar for postmortem. Besides, legal proceedings under law have been set into motion.
The senior police officials said, "This preliminary looks like a case of paranormal suicide but we are probing the case on all possible angles. Let’s see how the circumstantial evidence unfolded," adding that the parents of the deceased, who are in Bihar have been informed about the death of their son.
