4/24/2021 11:19:55 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Apr 24: Gaddi Nasheen Second Ziarat Pamrote and President J&K State All India Human Rights Association, Dr Syed Mumtaz Bukhari has alleged that some unscrupulous anti-social elements in guise of religious scholars are grabbing land in Surankote.
Addressing a press conference here today, Bukahri said that the purpose of this media interaction is to alert local administration and Auqaf to safeguard the precious property donated by our ancestors.
He claimed that the worst part of this nefarious design is that these mischievous elements are using extremely abusive, insulting and most unparliamentary language against other sects of Muslims than Sunnis and other religions declaring them as Kafir from Member-e-Rasool.
Bukhari alleged that Muslim property at Surankote includes a Jama Masjid with Madrasa and shopping complex having 13 shops, adding that we have laid our hands on some documents which shows a portion of land measuring 19 marlas, building of Madrasa and shopping complex have been transferred in the name of Molvi Basharat and his son with notorious designs to grab this complex forever. He said that another piece of land measuring 14 kanals meant for Eid prayer is also been converted into a shopping complex and a Madrasa to adjust their kiths and kins, adding that a Court in Surankote has issued a stay orders against this illegal construction at Eidgah but in vain.
Bukhari requested the government and Auqaf to take stringent measures to curb the tendency of such land grabbers not only in Surankote but the whole of District Poonch.
