Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association [JKEEGA] under chairmanship of Sachin Tickoo, General Secretary along with Ashok Kumar Dubey, Vice-President, M. P Singh ,Provincial Secretary, Rajeshwar Jamwal, Provincial Publicity Secretary, Yash Paul, Organizing Secretary, Purshotam Sharma and Vipul Sharma Treasurers today held a meeting through online mode
Appreciating the role of Lt. Governor on the issue of regularization and clearing of the back log of regularization in School Education department JKEEGA chose to remind that State Administrative Council in its meeting held on 22.10.2019 had directed that the proposal for regular promotions of Power development department be processed on fast track at departmental level without referring to Public Service commission as one-time exemption and whole process was supposed to be completed within 02 months by 30.11.2019 (GO No. 191-PDD of 2019 dated 23.10.2019).
However even after one and a half year of this SAC decision, the regularization orders of none of the eligible engineers of Power Development department have been issued till date, most of whom have retired from year 2007 to 2019 at levels of Executive Engineers /Superintending Engineers/Chief Engineers.
It is pertinent to mention that nearly four months of the SAC decision of November 2019, an empowered committee pursuant to the above SAC decision was constituted vide GAD order no-308-JK[GAD] of 2020, Dated-02/03/2020 for recommending the proposals for regularization of engineers of Power Development department for placement before the establishment committee.
The empowered committee under the chairmanship of Rohit Kansal Principal Secretary Power Development department having completed the marathon exercise of preparing, scrutinizing, examining the regularization proposals of 45 Executive Engineers and 179 Assistant Ex. Engineers as Executive Engineers /Superintending Engineers and Chief Engineers all of whom are retirees from year 2000 to 2018 were recommended to General administration department for placement before the establishment committee.
JKEEGA appealed to direct concerned authorities to convene a meeting of establishment committee at an earliest to clear the bottlenecks in implementing the SAC decision Dated 22/10/2019 so that objective of clearing the long backlog of regularization of Engineers of Power Development department is ensured.
