Omar doing yeoman’s job; sets example for other politicians
4/25/2021 10:46:57 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, April 25: At a time when almost all politicians have gone into hibernation due to protecting themselves from deadly Coronavirus, former chief minister Omar Abdullah is doing to yeoman’s job through social media.
Omar Abdullah, who is himself tested positive and is home quarantined, is known for using social medial platforms, especially micro blogging site Twitter.
Due to the prevailing threat of virus, it is not advisable to come out to help the people in distress so Omar is using his official Twitter handle to help the needy people.
If one goes by the tweets and re-tweets of Omar Abdullah, the former chief minister has amplified hundreds of SOS from the family members and friends of Covid patients who are in the need of medical help. For the last three days Omar Abdullah is very active on twitter and he is retweeting all SOS and serving humanity as a responsible citizen.
“I want to be able to help people through this crisis as best I can because I know what’s it’s like to have a loved one in hospital fighting against COVID. To that end, I’ve opened up my DMs for now & will amplify every message requesting/offering help”, Omar tweeted this the evening after re-tweeting a number of requests of patients and their family members.
The social media platform has become the ground zero for family members and friends raising requests for their loved ones -- or just receiving reassurances that all will be well. And there are thousands of them.
Amid Corona chaos, Twitter has turned into a best platform to respond to the SOS requests of people in distress as netizens and social activities, across the nation, circulating these messages in every nock and corner of the country.
As there is total chaos and confusion across the country, people are using social media to respond to the requests of the needy people at this crucial time.
