DYSS takes out rally on Jal Shakti Abhiyan

KISHTWAR, Apr 27: A rally under the banner of Jal Shakti Abhiyan “Catch the Rain-where it falls when it falls” was organized here today by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
Under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma, the rally was flagged off by the DYSS Officer Kishtwar, Kharati Lal Sharma.
The event was organized as a part of Jal Shakti Abhiyan wherein Physical Education Lecturers, Masters, Teachers, Rehbar-e-Khel teachers and other employees of Zone Kistwar and Nagseni took part.
The rally was taken out from Char Chinar Kishtwar and covered the nearby areas.
Chief guest of the occasion DYSSO Kishtwar said that an awareness campaign has been launched in all zones of District Kishtwar to save water and prevent misuse of water. He also urged people to use water judiciously and directed all to take initiatives in homes, villages, Towns to raise awareness among people on the importance of water and its conservation because when we save water, we will save Earth.
DYSSO also praised the efforts of Director General Youth Services & Sports J&K, Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman by introducing different initiatives throughout the UT regarding the water conservation.
Similar rallies were also carried out in Zone Drabshalla, Paddar and Nagseni areas under the supervision of I/c ZPEOs.
