PM devotedly fighting Nation’s battle against pandemic: Kavinder | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 27: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta has strongly castigated the opposition parties for resorting to unnecessary criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is selflessly leading the nation in battle against the COVID-19 pandemic’s second wave by initiating multiple endeavours so that the world’s largest democracy is able to overcome the current crisis situation very soon. In a statement issued here today, Kavinder Gupta said, it is really an irony of this nation that despite calling for an early lockdown during the first wave of COVID-19 that ultimately led to control the situation last year and the whole world praising the Indian PM for such a sane decision, he continues to be at the receiving end at the hands of opposition political parties even today when the nation is yet again struggling to overcome the more serious situation in the form of second wave. The former Dy Chief Minister said that earlier during the first wave in case the PM had not called for immediate lockdown then he would have been accused of not responding to the situation appropriately and after success of the then lockdown, the opposition has been accusing the PM’s decision hitting the nation’s economy badly. Accusing the opposition parties, their leaders, cronies and followers of trying to grind their own axes even in emergency situations like the today’s pandemic, Kavinder said that these opposition leaders are conducting retrospective analysis sitting at their homes without coming forward with any meaningful proposal to augment the fight against the pandemic. He said that they must realize and appreciate the PM’s endeavours in the current situation which no other Indian PM had to face till date. The former Deputy Chief Minister asserted that people will not be led away by the opposition narratives as they have full confidence in the 70 year old PM who is leading 130 crore people of the world’s largest democracy. He reiterated that the nation under the strong leadership of PM Narendra Modi will soon come out with success in the ongoing battle against the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
