Kishtwar, Apr 27: In ongoing 2nd Dy. SP Aman Memorial Cricket Tournament, Semna Warriors beat Green Shaheen Cricket Club Doda by 32 runs in pre quarter final of the tournament. In both the teams prominent players from J&K Ranji team and Kashmir based clubs are part of the playing XI.As per the details available with “Early Times”, after winning the toss Semna Warriors elected to bat first and scored 151 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 18 hours in stipulated time frame. For Semna Warriors, Waseem Kachur score 65 runs in 46 balls with eight boundaries while Asif Khan scored 28 runs in 26 balls with one six and four and Faisal Dar chipped in with 14 runs. For Green Shaheen, Faizan Rouf picked up two wickets in 3 overs for 30 runs, Abid Nabi, Ishfaq Bravo picked up one wicket each. While chasing the target of 152 runs, Shaheen Green Doda lost the opener Nadeem Mehta on very first ball to Ishtaq Rasool followed by the captain Abid Nabi at 8 runs in 3rd over of the inning. The middle order batsmen Irfan Kalal (43 runs) and Asif Ramzan (39 runs) give some stability to the batting line of Green Shaheen Doda, but the batting collapsed at the end of the inning as the team lost 6 wickets for 18 runs and were bowled out for 119 runs. For Semna Warriors, Arshad picked up three wickets for 16 runs in three overs while Ishtiyak Rasool, Adil Rishi, Asif Khan, Jahinger Lone & Shubam Shan picked up one wicket each.
J&K Team Ranji player Umar Nazir cost 25 runs in 3 overs. Overall 144 teams participated in the tournament which has now advanced to Quarter final stage.
