DC Ramban discusses formulation of District Capex Plan 2021-22

RAMBAN, Apr 29: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today chaired a meeting regarding formulation of District Capex Plan 2021-22, here at DC Office Complex.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal; Assistant Commissioner Development, Zameer Ahmed Rishu; DPO, Executive Engineers Jal Shakti, PMGSY and senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, the sector wise ceiling under the district Capex Budget for the year 2021-22 was conveyed to the district officers, besides the guidelines for formulation of the sector wise and work wise Action plan was also discussed in detail.
The DC directed the officers to ensure the formulation of the plan in consultation with members of three tier Panchayati Raj system, besides stressing on the formulation of a multilayer perspective plan that will yield maximum benefits to the public. He also asked for projecting only those works/projects which shall complete in stipulated time frame keeping in view the working season of the current financial years.
The DC also exhorted upon the officers to formulate the local plan in accordance with the ceiling conveyed to them and to ensure the best use of available resources.
He asked to give priority to completion of ongoing projects.
The DC asked the officers of line departments to coordinate with ACD and DPO to formulate an effective development plan of their respective departments.
Threadbare discussion on key centrally sponsored schemes, which are part of the District Development Plan, like MGNREGA, PMAY, Jal Jeevan Mission, NRLM were held in the meeting and necessary directions were passed to the concerned.
Special thrust was laid on the Health, Employment, Education and Tourism. For the Drinking water plan, Jal Shakti department was asked to formulate a comprehensive plan to provide tap water supply to all left out habitations during the current financial year.
