Mankotia alleges ventilators non-functional at DH Udhampur
5/2/2021 11:09:02 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

UDHAMPUR, May 2: Jammu and Kashmir UT administration along with the central government has proved to be a complete failure to deal with the Corona pandemic, said former MLA from Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia. Addressing a press conference here today, Mankotia said that the District Hospital (DH) Udhampur has only 28 Oxygen beds, while the district Udhampur has a population of more than six lakhs and hundreds of people are getting infected every day in the district.
Mankotia alleged that ventilators available in Udhampur are non-functional and few months back, in a TV channel, a big BJP leader said that all the ventilators in the District Hospital Udhampur are operational but not a single ventilator is functional. Mankotia commended the Udhampur Deputy Commissioner, Police Administration as well as the officers for doing good work.
However, he said that the officers who were earlier posted also lied to public regarding the ventilators and due to this failure, amount which was allocated to set up an oxygen plant, was also returned, he added
Mankotia appealed to the people to stay in their homes during this corona pandemic and take care of themselves and their families as the central government and the Jammu and Kashmir administration proved to be a complete failure to deal with the Covid-19.
