| Citizens’ Forum urges LG to seek help offered by USA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 2: Citizens’ Forum has requested LG Manoj Sinha to seek the help offered by USA through US-INDIA Foundation as is being utilized by the Haryana Government. R K Chadha, president Citizens Forum said that Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has announced that 250 oxygen concentrators are being sent to Haryana free of cost as help by the US-INDIA Foundation in the first phase, adding that Vij spoke to the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Hardeep Puri to get these medical supplies free of any shipping charges. Chadha reminded that we had in the beginning advised the UT Government to raise extra special loan to meet the 2nd wave of covid onslaugh , which has shaken the entire country and J&K UT many fold. He said that we understand not only majority of states, our J&K UT is also facing shortage of funds and hence shortage of vaccines, that is why the vaccination programme from 1st May for 18-45 years people but was refused by some states and started with meager stock of vaccines by few other states. |
