Col Mahan condemns attacks on BJP activists by TMC cadre | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, May 5: DDC Chairman Kathua Col (Retd) Mahan Singh on Wednesday condemned the attacks on BJP activists by the cadre of Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal. In a statement issued here, the Chairman DDC Kathua demanded strict action against the culprits responsible for the violence. Alleging that the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee is extending tacit support to the violence mongers belonging to TMC, Col Mahan demanded that the President’s rule should be imposed in West Bengal henceforth to reinforce law and order. He said that he was hurt by the murderous attacks on BJP activists in the State of West Bengal where at present the lawlessness is ruling the roost. The DDC Chairman urged the central dispensation to take immediate steps to ensure rule of law in that State and safeguard the lives of BJP activists, who are under threat of TMC cadre. He castigated Mamata Banerjee for allowing such kind of barbaric attacks on BJP activists by the goons belonging to her party. He urged the West Bengal Governor to give exemplary punishment to the culprits responsible for the attacks on the BJP activists. The DDC Chairman said that the people of West Bengal have missed a golden chance of bringing good governance at their doorsteps by not supporting the nationalist BJP and this is the reason the entire State is burning due to violence unleashed by the goons of TMC. |
