Udhampur, May 5: The Cash Depositing Machine of J&K Bank at Gole Market in Udhampur here has again gone out of order due to some technical snag for last about 10 days.
It is pertinent to mention that the only such facility in the town mostly remained non-functional since it was installed by the Bank in Udhampur town.
The out of order machine has multiplies the problems of the people in different ways and they have expressed resentment and demanded that the Bank authorities should immediately rectify the snag to make the machine functional.
“This is the time of COVID-19 pandemic we avoid visiting banks to deposit cash and even Bank times have been changed from 10 am to 2 pm.
The only option to deposit money in bank left is only the cash depositing machine but it remains defunct most of the time,” A medical shopkeeper said. “So the authorities concerned should take a note of the non-functional machine and make it workable as soon as it is possible,” a grocery shopkeeper from Gole Market said as he was finding no option to deposit money in the account of his wholesalers via the machine.
A cooperative employee said the Bank authorities should care their customers and maintain the machine properly so that it may not develop snags repeatedly.
Similar were the views of a student who said that other Banks should take a cognisance and install their such machines for the benefit of public.
When contacted Manager of the main branch of J&K Bank udhampur Suresh Sharma said their technical teams are on job and they expect that the machine will be corrected soon.
