Kotli Colony Welfare Trust seek Govt intervention, clarity on increasing oxygen crisis | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: Kotli Colony Welfare Trust has drawn LT Governor Manoj Sinha’s attention for the rise of death cases in GMC Jammu and also brought his intervention and clarity on the increasing oxygen crisis. The kind of faith which you have put forth in the people of J&K is getting shattered day by day due to the increase in deaths due to shortage of oxygen. Recently Lt Guv’s daughter got admitted in GMC for a treatment which gives a strong message in the whole UT to build a trust on Govt medical infrastructure . But the current situation is very alarming and there is a hue and cry in the people pertaining to availability of oxygen and beds in hospitals. GOI has given health insurance benefits in form of Ayushman Card which seems to be a failure nowadays as SMVDU Naraina hospital is not entertaining cases who give reference to Ayushman Card. They have made it a commercial unit to play with the lives of common people of J&K UT which is very unfortunate . It is brought to the attention of direct hospital administration to take cases of Ayushman Card holders as well and give benefits as per its norm. Also need to highlight the issue of medicine availability to Corona positive patients as hospitals should be provided such medicine free of cost. Major hospitals are having shortages of such medicine like Doxycycline , Azee , injections which causes problems to patients . Undoubtedly paramedical staff and doctors are guiding people at their best but they are too human and have their families and personal life also. They need more moral support of administration at this time rather than a pearl and incentives . Need of the hour is to create a e- care call centre for Corona affected and common people to seek advice which may run 24X7. If someone declared Covid positive the hierarchy is to firstly go to CD hospital then after they recommend to GMC or Gandhinagar. All this process may take lives of people for any delay during an emergency. This is not an alternative. Each life is valuable to our Nation. There is a need to design systems and seek support of all civil society stakeholders to fight together with this crisis. Chairman KCWT Chandan Datta appealed to people of J&K UT to follow all precautions and don’t be in panic and avoid unnecessary going out at this high time. There is a need to take confidence of people of J&K at this high crisis and make them mentally feel secure by your quick action in this direction. |
