Corona Curfew imposed in District Samba till May 10

SAMBA, May 5: District Magistrate, Samba, Anuradha Gupta today ordered imposition of Corona curfew from today evening (7 PM) till May 10, 2021 in view of surge in positive cases in the district.
“Whereas, a detailed review of the current COVID situation in Samba District was conducted by the District Disaster Management Authority, Samba with respect to the current positivity rate, hospital bed occupancy and total active cases.
Whereas, on account of the above, the District Administration, Samba is of the considered view that stringent containment measures are required to be taken at a large scale in order to restrict the movement and inter mingling of people, thereby limiting the chain of transmission.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 34 of the National Disaster Management Act, 2005, I, Anuradha Gupta, KAS, in my capacity as the Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, Samba hereby order that there shall be a complete Corona Curfew in District Samba w.e.f. 05-05 2021 (Wednesday) from 7:00 PM to 10-05-2021 (Monday) till 7:00 AM.
Certain activities shall be permissible, partially permissible and non-permissible during this period of Corona Curfew” the order issued by the DM stated.
As per the order, Medicine Shops, Testing laboratories, Medical & Clinical establishments; Banks, ATMs; Cash Vans and Insurance Offices; Petrol Pumps, LPG Agencies/outlets, Fair price shops and FCI Godowns shall be allowed to function. The Restaurants in Hotels shall be allowed to cater only for in-house guests, to be served only in the rooms.
The wholesalers (dealing in essential items), Fruit, Vegetable, Grain/FCI Mandis may also remain open and functional to ensure provisioning of essential supplies and sell/purchase of harvested produce.
There will be no hindrance to the smooth movement of goods and essential supplies, nomads migrating with herds and other products like agricultural /horticultural goods, on the National & State Highways.
There shall be no restriction on interstate and intra state movement of essential goods, Industrial & Scientific establishments -both Public & private and in execution of mega projects. The movement of employees | labourers engaged in the same shall be allowed on the basis of photo ID Cards or any other valid proof.
Internet services, IT, Telecom (for operating and maintenance of Towers and Network services), IT enabled services sector, including e-Commerce shall be permitted (on production of valid ID cards).
There shall be no restriction on the movement of Government officials (Central / UT /Autonomous bodies), Health & Medical officials, Bank officials and Sanitation workers are allowed for attending official duties. (On production of Id-cards/official orders).
All developmental/Mega construction works and legal mining shall be allowed to continue without any hindrance.
The vaccination drive shall not be halted. Localized mobile teams shall be constituted to provide vaccination in villages, colonies, residential areas and containment zones.
Agricultural activities including establishments dealing with agricultural inputs, implements and tools shall also be allowed to operate.
Cattle feed and fodder shops. E-commerce & Home Delivery of essential goods and services shall also be allowed.
The local retail Grocery shops catering to residential areas and mohallas (excluding Mega Marts, Super Markets and Multi Item Departmental stores), Fruits & Vegetables shops /street vendors, Milk & Dairy product shops, Bakery, Meat & Chicken shops shall be allowed to operate between 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Religious & Social gatherings such as marriages, whether indoors or outdoors, will be allowed with the attendance of upto 50 persons only, while funerals / last rites will be allowed with attendance of upto 20 persons only.
For attending marriages and other functions wedding /invitation cards shall be treated as passes. No separate passes shall be issued for the same. However, they shall give prior information of any such gathering / wedding to respective Tehsildars / Executive Magistrates concerned.
Public transport shall be allowed to operate at a maximum of 50% capacity only and this shall be strictly enforced.
There shall be a complete ‘Corona Curfew’ with no movement of people except for permissible activities only, as mentioned above.
All Educational institutions shall continue to remain closed. All Shopping Complexes, Bazaars, Saloons, Barber Shops, Restaurants & Bars, Sport Complexes, Gyms, Spas, Swimming Pools, Parks etc, shall remain closed.
