After watching ‘death dance’ in GMC BJP awakes from deep slumber
Senior leaders still hesitating to come out of their ‘safe houses’

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 6: After watching the ongoing ‘death dance’ in Government Medical College Hospital (GMC) Jammu for last 15 days, BJP leaders awoke from the deep slumber and raised alarm about worsening COVID situation in this part of the Union Territory (UT).
Shockingly, instead of coming forward to restore the completely shattered confidence of the people of Jammu region senior leaders of party including former ministers and top-brass preferred to remain in their ‘safe houses’ due to the fear of being getting infected.
Party deputed its vice president and the so-called in charge of COVID management Yudhvir Sethi to address the press conference only to slam the administration for not doing enough to contain the alarming surge in Coronavirus cases.
As GMC Jammu is virtually turned into a ‘slaughter house’, BJP has ultimately admitted that the Health Department has done nothing in equipping itself to cater to the needs of the people despite the COVID wreaked havoc in the entire region for more than one year. This really is criminal on the part of the government. “The Mechanical Wing of health department has miserably failed in doing its job of providing hassle-free oxygen to the patients in the GMC and its associated hospitals,” Sethi said.
Sethi said that the reports of rising in transmission of this infection in rural hamlets is an alarming issue as the same will have dangerous repercussions especially in absence of proper health facilities out there. He said that the situation currently in the J&K UT is quite chaotic as the administration seems to be indifferent towards the plight of people and is not doing enough to stop the virus from harming the people.
