Notifying rules for regularization of casual workers historic step: Darakhshan
5/14/2021 10:48:54 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, May 14: Bharatiya Jananata Party Spokesperson and Chairperson of Waqf Development Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India Dr Darakhshan Andrabi has hailed the decision of the J&K government of notifying the rules for the regularization of thousands of casual workers and assignees in different departments in Jammu & Kashmir. Expressing her joy on this decision of the LG administration, Dr Andrabi termed the move as historic. “Earlier governments in J&K promoted adhocism for decades in the J & K services sector and this parochial approach of the past ruined the future of lakhs of educated youth. Different SRO engagements against the professional posts exploited the resources of the talented youth of J&K and damaged their lives and their service career for decades. Such exploiting vision-less SROs and schemes have already been abolished by this administration and now correcting the old faults and paving way for the regularization of thousands of casual workers is consoling,” said Dr Andrabi. She said that the rules notified are for the first time creating a fully transparent and honest system of regularization of the casual workers in different departments. “The rules published are so clear and broad that without any corrupt practices and special favours, all the deserving and qualifying youth will get regularized,” said Dr Andrabi. She said that she was pleased to witness the present J&K administration reaching out to every ailment in the system on one hand and again doing everything needed to sort out long pending genuine issues of the people of J&K without the hue and cry and the cheap dramatics. “I thank Shri Manoj Sinha Ji for taking a timely decision in favour of thousands of the youth who have suffered a lot due to the defective recruitment policies of the earlier rulers. This decision will not be affecting sixty thousand individuals only but sixty thousand families directly and many more indirectly,” said the BJP leader.
