Eleven areas in 4 Medical Blocks of Baramulla district declared as MCZ

BARAMULLA, May 19: To contain the spread of Novel Coronavirus, eleven areas in four medical blocks of this north Kashmir district have been declared as Micro Containment Zones(MCZ).
District Magistrate Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar has issued an order wide no:DMB/NO/COVID-19/2021/490-5 Dated 19/05/2021, which is related to declaration of micro containment zone.
The order reads that, with reference to the above subject and in continuation of this office order issued under endorsement no: DMB/NO/COVID-19/2021/461-70 Dated 11-05-2021 and in pursuance to the power vested in me under the Epidemic Disease Act, 1897.
In accordance with the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and under section 144 Cr.Pc, District Magistrate Baramulla ordered some locations as Micro Containment Zones for containment of COVID-19 disease.
Almost 11 areas have been declared as Micro Containment Zones including 4 medical blocks of of Sheeri that includes Pachaar Chandoosa, tehsil Wagoora, Kazi Hamam, Frushar of tehsil Baramulla, and Fatehgrah of Narwaw tehsil, likewise 4 Medical blocks of Sopore that includes Gundbhrat, Seelo, Lower and Upper Ashpeer, and New Colony Sopore, more Dar Mohalla Chakloo of Baramulla tehsil that come under Rohama Medical Block, while Gani Baba and Katipora of tehsil and Medical Block Tangmarg.
According to an order, the restrictions shall be in place in these areas that have been declared as Micro Containment Zones with immediate effect till further orders.
These above-mentioned areas shall be under strict lock down and tight perimeter control, except for essential needs, there shall be no movement, whatsoever in and out of containment zones.
Where as according to an order that it shall be mandatory for the person’s residing in designated containment zones to get themselves tested and any refusal in this regard shall invite action including lodging of FIR under relevant provisions of DM Act and it has been ordered that the designated officials including BMO and SHO concerned of the areas shall ensure 100% sampling and testing is done.
