Kathua, May 19: Amid COVID-19 lockdown Illegal constructions are continuing in many places in Kathua city. According to the sources the latest case came to fore in Rajbagh area. “The issue of illegal construction of shops was brought into the notice of Kathua administration and city council but no action was taken,” sources added. They said that the matter was brought to the notice of Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Raghav Langar. “After he (Div Com) took the cognizance of the matter both the administration and the Municipal Council swung into action. Municipal Council, Executive Officer Dilip Abrol and Tehsildar Gaurav Sharma reached the spot and demolished the illegal construction,” sources added. Municipal Council Executive Officer, Dileep Abrol, in said, “Only MC Chairman Naresh Sharma will be able to tell anything about the matter.” Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav said that the matter came into the notice of authorities and construction has been demolished. |
