Webinar organised by Sahitya Akademi New Delhi on social concern in Dogri | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 19: Sahitya Akademi New Delhi under its webline literature series organised one day’s webinar on social concerns in Dogri literature. At the outset, Dr. N Suresh Babu Dy. Secretary Sahitya Akademi New Delhi delivered a welcome address, greeting participants respectfully and all. Darshan Darshi (D.K.Vaid) well known poet and scholar with good command on Dogri, Urdu, Hindi and English Languages, Literary stalwart known nationally and internationally, presently convener Dogri advisory board Sahitya Akademi new Delhi said in introductory address that although the whole world is reeling under same circumstances, yet Duggar pradesh is facing some different political, economic and social conditions and state of affairs. Referring to social concerns in the whole world and Indian Literature Darshi said that Dogri Literature is full of such painful tragedies which will got detailed references through papers of our learned paper readers in the paper session. Renowned Dogri writer Shivdev Singh Sushil in keynote address said Dogra Society despite being distinct has been treated and pushed to be dependent for decades. Even then Dogra Society with the flag of patriotism is seen always on forefront despite the deprivation of this society. Keeping all frustrations with their under compelling circumstances, is getting along with life ahead progressively. He wished Dogra society and Dogra pradesh a wonderful present and bright future. Senior Dogri Literary figure Prakash Premi in his presidential addresses greeted Shivdev Singh Sushil, Darshan Darshi, convener of Dogri advisory board. He also congratulated Sahitya Akademi and expressed openly his views about social concerns in Dogri Literature. In this webinar, during the second session three papers were read. First paper presented by Sita Ram Sapolia, in which he echoed his views regarding social concerns in Dogri poetry. Second paper in the session was presented by Shambhoo Ram Pyasa, a known writer, about social concerns in short story Literature of Dogri. Third paper in the session was read by prominent Dogri Scholar Dr. Sunita Bhadwal, who elaborated at length the sour concerns raised in Dogri Novels in plenty. This session was presided over by renowned Dogri poet Gianeshwar Sharma. He congratulated all the participants. |
