Webinar on COVID -19 Appropriate Behaviour organized

UDHAMPUR, May 19: Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Udhampur in coordination with Press Information Bureau, Jammu, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organized a webinar today on “COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour’ involving doctors from the department of Ayush.
The webinar focused on the importance of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour among the masses and the role of Ayush being a game changer in Covid19 times.
In her introductory address, Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) J&K and PIB Jammu said that the biggest aim of conducting these webinars is to spread awareness among masses using the best experts from Health and Medical Education especially today when the whole country is reeling under Covid19 second wave and the Government along with the frontline warriors is doing its best to stop it’s spread by creating an awareness using social media and other tools & by vaccinating people across the country.
She also said that ROB J&K and PIB Jammu have been vanguard from the very first day of the pandemic spreading awareness be that the COVID 19 appropriate behaviour or vaccination using social media and other platforms.
In her address, Dr. Vilakshi Jamwal, Medical Officer, Ayush, Udhampur said that the mass awareness related to Covid19 appropriate behaviour is the need of the hour as the cases are increasing significantly throughout the country. She further informed the audience that many home made things can act as immunity boosters be that the ‘Ashvagandha’ or ‘Haldi Doodh’ that are scientifically proven. A good protein diet is the need of the hour to combat this pandemic as it is a simple method to boost immunity especially in those who have a compromised immunity, she added.
Dr. Sakshi Gupta, another Medical officer, Ayush, Udhampur while delivering her address on ‘Ayush- A Game Changer in COVID-19 times’ said that Ayush has a lot to offer in Covid19 times for strengthening the human body and mind and for its integrative approach to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.
