DC Jammu executes yeoman’s task, 40,000 vaccinated in three days

Jammu, May 28: District administration Jammu under the supervision of Anshul Garg, District Commissioner undertook a vaccination drive that covered 40,000 people under the age group 18+ to 45.
The 40,000 people were vaccinated in a record three days period which is one of its unique efforts by the Jammu district administration under DC Jammu. Talking to Early Times, Garg said that a focused vision for an achievement of a designed goal can push anybody to take up most of the difficult tasks.
“People are under the spate of CoronaVirus and it becomes the responsibility of the government to provide them immediate succor through all paraphernalia available with the administration, I am looking forward to pace up the process so that all people could be covered under the vaccination as soon as possible,” said Garg .
Briefing about various modes of activities taken in different wards and localities to reach out door to door to the people, the DC Jammu said that district administration has made all arrangements at wards and mohalla levels by setting up the centres so that people could have an easy access to the centres to get them vaccinated. He however rued that overcrowding to get vaccinated first is creating problem for the administration. “My appeal to people in Jammu district is not to panic as vaccines are available and all will be covered holistically,” said DC Jammu adding 30 sites are working in Jammu. He said that he is monitoring the situation so that Jammu district could turn as a safe zone as soon as possible.
