Jammu, May 30: Members of NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do today organised a plantation drive programme in the Industrial area, Battal Ballian Udhampur under the presidentship of Tariq Shah in which the members of the organization and a large number of local people participated enthusiastically.
Giving information about the event, Tariq Shah said, "Our organization has always been planting saplings and from the coming days on the occasion of Environment Day, like previous years the organization will be planting more trees. Today, Peepal and Chenar trees are being planted here. In the last few days there was a serious fire incident in a chemical factory which has caused a lot of damage. Our organization strongly condemns such unfortunate incident and demands proper inquiry by the administration.
Keeping in view of the problems of all the people who live around here, it needs to be noted that such factories which threaten the lives of all the people, such industries should not be set. Instead of these factories, such industries should be set up that are environment friendly. All such industries that are threat to mankind are enemies of humanity and as much as possible efforts should be made not to set up such factories which harm the environment and humanity.
