Early Times report substantiated: GMC yet to release selection list of staff for DRDO hospital 5/31/2021 12:38:12 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, May 30: Official handout issued by the government this evening has authenticated report published in Sunday’s edition of the Early Times regarding delay in the formal functioning of newly constructed 500-bedded hospital of Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) at Jammu. This newspaper has reported that it was all due to delay in recruiting para-medical staff that formal functioning of this much-required hospital has been postponed for a couple of days. Meanwhile according to the official handout, the Government Medical College Jammu has released the selection list for the post of Nursing Supervisors for Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) hospital Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. The selection list has been strictly made on the basis of the mentioned criteria. To make the 500- bedded DRDO COVID Hospital fully functional, the selection list of remaining cadres of employees is being made at a rapid speed by a committee headed by Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal GMC Jammu as Chairperson with Yaseen Choudhary, Managing Director NHM; Dr. Renu Sharma, Director Health Services Jammu; Rajeshwar Singh Charak as a representative of Health and Medical Education Department and Ashwani Khajuria, Administrator Associated Hospitals Jammu as members. In addition, the committee is assisted by the Personnel Officer Associated Hospitals Jammu, Mamta Devi and Administrative Officer GMC Jammu, Dr. Zeba Suleman. Further, 6 JKAS probationers working in GMC&AH have been deputed to assist the committee to expedite the selection process.
