Teachers, masters’ transfer; DPC issues taken up in JKTMA meet | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 30: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Masters Association (JKTMA) held virtually under the chairmanship of State president Rakesh Singh to discuss the various burning issues of teachers/masters the most important of which was transfer issue and DPC including resolving issue of SSA Head teachers. Rakesh Singh said that Administrative secretary school Education B.K Singh is working tirelessly in most transparent manner for the welfare of Teachers community despite Covid 19 pandemic challenge and appealed him to speed up the DPC of all cadres of Teaching community particularly Teachers/Masters to Lecturers as more than 3000 post of lecturers are lying vacant in Higher secondary schools which defeats the very purpose of Right to Education which guaranteed Education at the doorsteps of students particularly in rural areas. Singh on behalf of Association demanded 100 Percent DPC to all posts of Lecturers on one time basis as per decision of State Administrative council which is mandatory to create more and more substantive vacant posts of general line teachers to adjust Grade 2 and Grade 3 teachers who are at present working on the Supernumerary temporary posts . Association urged administrative secretary to end system of Contractual Lecturers in Higher secondary schools as it lacks accountability and Responsibility towards Annual results of schools and so degrades the quality of Education in govt schools further lack of staff at senior secondary Schools is one of the main reason of Dropout and less enrollment in govt schools which needs to be redressed at earliest by DPC as per Govt order 252 and SRO 339 which speaks to exclude distance science degree holders who enrolled after December 2005 .
