Jammu, May 30: Shashank Kulkarni, a researcher at Central University of Jammu will be honoured by National Social Service Ratna Award for 2021. This award is given by joint collaboration of The Global Human Rights Foundation and the National Anti-Harassment Foundation of Madhya Pradesh in the memory of the first black President of South Africa, Bharat Ratna Nelson Mandela. This national award commemorates every year for the people who contribute significantly in this different fields like national, political, education, research, agriculture, sports etc. The letter of confirmation for this award was given to Shashank Kulkarni by the National President of the Foundation Ravi KS Narayan and Director General of the NAH Foundation, Vikas Mahajan. It has been reported that due to Corona epidemic, the distribution program of this national award will be done online on 30 May 2021. Shashank Kulkarni has been given this award for his special contribution to the agriculture and farmers’ policy of the country through his research-based important book ‘Swaminathan Commission: A Foundation of Farmer Policies in India’. This book is foreworded by Father of Green Revolution Prof M. S. Swaminathan. Last year, the award was conferred on the senior Gandhian activist Padmashree Awardee Dr Vijay Kumar Shah. Kulkarni has written six books in Marathi, Hindi and English on various subjects . His research papers has been published in various international research journals and participated in international conferences. |
