Illegal mining, inflation unacceptable: AIPP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 4: All India Panchayat Parishad (AIPP) said that the administration has failed to check illegal mining and over charging by the owners of the stone crushers. Addressing a press conference at Akhnoor, ex-Sarpanch and acting president of AIPP Kuldeep Sharma said that the overcharging by stone crusher owners, illegal mining and rising prices of essential commodities is unacceptable. Kuldeep Sharma came heavily on the Central government against rising rates of petrol, diesel and edible oil. Sharma said that LG Administration has completely failed to check illegal mining and over charging by stone crusher owners. He said few days back DC Jammu has fixed rates of various mining materials and crusher materials for which Multi Department Task Forces have been constituted but all this seems to be eyewash as they have completely failed to cap the rates and crusher owners are still violating Deputy Commissioner’s order by charging three to four times more than what is fixed. Similarly he said the mining mafia is ruling the roost and the administration has failed to check illegal mining in Akhnoor and Khour Sub Division. He further came heavily on the central government for high inflation. He said rates of petrol, diesel and edible oil are rising day by day which in turn is directly responsible for price rise of daily utility items which affect the poor and middle class. He said the Central Government is crushing the common man for the sake of a few big business players. He gave an ultimatum of one month to the administration to check overcharging by crusher owners and illegal mining. He warned the administration that if they failed to do that then All India Panchayat Parishad will come on road with common people for their rights and justice. Others who were present were Anil Manhas, Atul Sharma, Kali and Rajan Sharma. |
