| Open violation of social distancing norms at COVID vaccination camp at SICOP Udhampur | | |

Udhampur June 4: Open violation of social distancing norms and that too at COVID-19 vaccination camp was witnessed today at SICOP Industrial Area in Battel Ballian. The vaccination camp was organized on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur by DIC Udhampur.
During the vaccination camp about 200 labourers of age group 18-45 were given first jab of COVID vaccine. Overall there was no social distancing anywhere in the camp as the visitors in the camp made a crowd and many workers left without a jab.
Staff of health department, industrial department and police personnel was present in the camp for duty. They hey remained busy making request to the visitors for maintaining social distancing but visitors continuously violate social distancing.
When contacted DIC Pankaj Kumar said that problem was created at the start of vaccination process but after sometime situation was handled and the process went on smoothly.
