| Reasi Police’s drive against absconders continues, absconding woman arrested | | | 
EARLY TIMES REPORT
REASI, June 4: Reasi Police arrested an absconder accused of distillation of illicit liquor and its smuggling. Accused Swarna Devi, wife of Uttam Singh of village Sulghar Ramnagar, Tehsil & District Udhampur at present Anand Nagar Talab Tillo Bohri, Jammu was absconding in case FIR no 298/2001 Dated 20/12/2001 U/S 48, 48-f of Police Station Katra.
Case FIR was proved and challaned in the court of law, to avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings by going underground & couldn’t be apprehended since 2003.
A warrant under section 512 CrPC was issued by Court of Sub Judge Katra against the accused on 11/12/2003.
By applying meticulous planning and coordinated efforts after developing inputs, the team of Police Station Katra arrested the accused.
This is the arrest of thirteenth absconder by Reasi Police within a period of six weeks time against whom warrants U/S 512 CrPC was pending.
