Resettle Kashmiri Migrants as per their geo-political aspirations: KHMS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 8: A meeting of Kashmiri Hindu Maha Sabha (KHMS) was held here today under the chairmanship of its President Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan wherein it was made clear that all stakeholders of Kashmiri Migrants should be resettled as per geo-political aspiration in one place i.e, home land with the status of a separate Union Territory . While addressing the meeting through teleconferencing with Kashmiri migrants who are scattered all over India, Mahajan said that Sabha in categorical terms rejected the return formula and rehabilitation in clusters and composite township policies adopted from long times by various regimes as the situation in valley has gone from bad to worse and unfortunately nothing has changed since 1988-1990. He said that some vested interest people without knowing the ground realities also tried to create a wedge amongst the migrant community by giving false data and hollow slogans of rehabilitation of seven lakh Hindus. All successive governments have failed to bring normalcy and safeguard the interest of seven lakh Kashmiri Hindus till date and dreams of migrants remained unfulfilled. Mahajan further said that the resettlement is not possible without taking every stockholder into confidence, adding that the resettlement of Kashmiri Migrants could be achieved only if they are allowed to settle at one place i.e. homeland with a status of separate Union Territory by restoring their geo-political aspiration with guarantee and dignified life security. |
