| GDC Jindrah celebrates World Ocean day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 8: NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah in collaboration with Department of EVS has organized a three-day long workshop under “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotasv” programme with the theme “Save Water”.
On first day of the workshop to celebrate world ocean day, a poster making competition was organized for creating awareness among the people regarding conservation of water and cleanliness of various traditional reservoirs of water of Jindrah under the guidance of Principal Prof (Dr) Raj Shree Dhar.
Various NSS volunteers and students of the college actively participated in the event. In the next two days video messages, slogan writing, renovation of other traditional water reservoirs in 20 villages of tehsil Dansal will also be carried out.
The programme was organized by Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma (NSS Programme Officer of the College) and Prof. Deepika Sharma ( HOD EVS). |
