| Webinar on History of Construction & Concrete | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jun 8: Govt. Polytechnic, Udhampur today organised Webinar on Topic History of Construction & Concrete in collaboration with Choudhary Planners Group, Jammu for Polytechnic Students.
The webinar was attended by faculty and students of different Polytechnics of Jammu Division. The resource person for webinar was Er. Vybhav Gupta who is presently working as Regional Technical Services Head for J&K and HP in Ultratech Cement Ltd.
The programme started with the welcome address by Er. Suket Gupta, Principal of the Institution. In his welcome address, he mentioned about the achievements of resource person in last eleven years in Ready Mix Concrete and Cement Technical Serives. In his presentation, the speaker highlighted the history of construction, construction during primitive times (mud huts and stone monoliths).
Overtime, humans refined their construction practices and started building permanent structures. Vybhav also discussed about the latest construction materials like steel, cement, bricks, sand and water. His main focus was to aware the students about the latest available concrete at present. Students also interacted with the speaker and raised various quarries which were well addressed by the speaker.
The Programme was conducted under the guidance of Er. Suket Gupta, Principal Govt. Polytechnic, Udhampur and the programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Deepak Gupta, Demonstrator of the Institution. |
