Chenab Valley social activist awarded with human rights noble award

Udhampur, June 8: Social activist Narinder Sharma resident of Gulab Garh Paddar tehsil Paddar, district Kishtwar awarded with "Human Rights Noble Award" by "Global Human Rights Trust" as the most inspiring young social activist of U.T. of Jammu and Kashmir in the year 2021. Narinder Sharma was the president of University of Jammu in the year 2012- 2014 peace foundation under the chairman ship of Fayaz Ahmed Bhatt and at present he is the president of Global Human Rights Trust in district kishtwar. He is the most inspiring youth of J&K whose social contribution to the people of society. In this award he received a Certificate, Medal & Trophy. His initiatives include help to needy students, awareness to the students regarding scholarship, environmental issues, domestic violence. His campaigns for restoration of peace and brother hood between different community. Narinder Sharma is working day and night during these days of the pandemic for the past one year. He has been providing financial assistance to many poor people and distributed ration under the banner of Global Human Rights Trust under the chairmanship of HR Rehman. He distributed 500 food kits approx. among the needy families across the district Kishtwar and district Jammu during the lockdown period out of its meager funds. With the active support from various volunteers also provided their helpline number to those families facing scarcity of ration and the response of the team had always been prompt. He distributed food kits, comprising rice, Aata, cooking oil, pulses, tea and other essential items. Moreover, he distributed free masks and sanitizer among the local people & also distributed free medicine and notably the medicine were supplied in areas declared red zone by district administration and the said act was the most challenging are our trust also organized a medical camps in collaboration with AYUSH department for the distribution of free medicines.
