ZMO Dr Rameshwar Singh achieves target of vaccinating 100 pc in 45+ age group

Kathua, June 23: Dr Rameshwar Singh, ZMO Koti Chandyar, along with his dedicated team while continuing to play a commendable role in defeating the COVID-19 pandemic achieved the distinction of completing almost 100 percent vaccination of the people belonging to the 45+ age group residing within the jurisdiction of Panchayat Banjal.
In this regard a door to door vaccination campaign was conducted by his team inoculating all the eligible persons.
The Zonal Medical Officer alongwith his team conducted door to door vaccination in Panchayat Banjal areas where there is no road connectivity due to which the team led by him had to conduct their operations on foot.
It is worth mentioning that Panchayat Members and some volunteers accompanied the health team during the life saving endeavour.
Prominent among those accompanying the team included FMPHW Meenu Kumari, Rishbo Devi, Pharmacist Bhim Singh, Teacher Neelam Singh, and Ward Member Dev Raj.
While interacting with the people during the door to door campaign, Dr Rameshwar made the people aware about the dangers of Corona virus and the need to follow all the SOPs and precautions announced from time to time in this regard by the Govt even after receiving vaccination. Elaborating the important guidelines in this direction, he also educated the people about the proper use of masks and sanitizers.
He said that while the aforesaid SOPs and precautions are the best safety measures against the deadly virus, Vaccination is the only weapon to win the battle against this invisible enemy.
The DDC member, Bani Reeta Thakur being part of the team motivated the public for vaccination besides urging them to strictly follow COVID-19 SOPs. She thanked Dr Rameshwar Singh for the hard work and dedication in conducting vaccinations in the remote and far flung areas in a mission mode.
Meanwhile the locals of Banjal while talking to this reporter expressed gratitude to the ZMO Dr Rameshwar Singh for making hectic and relentless efforts to ensure cent percent vaccination in the areas with poor road connectivity. They said that it would not have been possible without the efforts of ZMO who has been rendering service to the people of these far flung areas with utmost sincerity and dedication.
