| DC Poonch pulls up tehsildars, naib tehsildars for poor performance | | Asks them to explain or face action | |

Poonch, June 23: District Administration Poonch has sought an explanation from twenty one tehsildars and naib tehsildars for failing to act against encroachers, people involved in illegal mining and for not completing jamabandies.
According to the details available with Early Times, Deputy Commissioner Poonch has sought explanations from around 21 tehsildars and naib tehsildars for their poor performance.
The DC has sought explanation for not submitting the tour diary since long, showing poor performance regarding removal of encroachment, retrieval of state, common, Kahcharai land.
“It has been observed that performance regarding writing, completion of jamabandies and attestation of mutations is also very poor. It has been noticed that officials have not checked the menace of illegal mining activities and illegal conversion of agricultural land. It has also been observed that officials have not conducted the administrative inspection of their subordinate offices and records,” reads the order issued by the DC.
“The officials are directed to explain their position within a week failing which it shall be presumed that you have nothing to say in your defence and action under rules shall be taken,” the order reads.
