Mookerjee inspired BJP to abrogate Art 370: Bharat Bhushan, Sham Lal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 23: It was founder President of Jana Sangh who by giving the supreme sacrifice for unifying the country became the true source of inspiration for the BJP leaders to muster strength for taking such a bold decision of abrogating Articles 370 and 35A, and ensuring complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the country. This was said by DDC Chairman Jammu Bharat Bhushan along with State Vice President BJP, Sham Lal Sharma while paying glowing tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee during an event held on his martyrdom day here at Mandal Raipur Domana. The DDC Chairman made a relevant point to encourage the youth of the area to follow the pursuits of the late Jana Sangh leader in making the country a strong bastion of nationalist people with no room left for the anti-nationals to play their gimmicks or act against the country. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already tightened the noose around enemies of the nation and that is the reason they are lying low or have shifted their bases to other countries. Speaking on the occasion, former Minister and State Vice President BJP, Sham Lal Sharma said that Syama Prasad Mookerjee attained martyrdom fighting against Article 370. His mission for ending the exclusive status of J&K was continued by Jana Sangh and BJP later and many activists also sacrificed their lives for the achievement of the same. The dream was finally realized on 5th August 2019 when the BJP government led by PM Modi abrogated Articles 370 and 35A, he added. State President BJP Kissan Morcha Omi Khajuria, District President Jammu Rural Rajinder Singh, Mandal President Ashok Kerni, Mandal Prabhari Raipur Domana Babu Ram Bhagat, Sarpanchs and Panchs, office bearers of District and Morcha also paid floral tributes to Dr Syama Prasad Mookherjee on his Balidan Diwas. |
