DLSA hosts legal awareness program on Covid Pandemic

REASI, June 23: As per the mandate of the Project “Access to Justice” (Phase-II) for the month of June, 2021 District Legal Services Authority, Reasi today organized a Legal Awareness Webinar on the theme “Covid-19 Pandemic-
Awareness among Marginalized and Weaker Sections of Society” in collaboration with the Health Department Reasi.
The event was held under the able guidance and supervision of R.N. Watal, Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Reasi.
Dr. Usha Kiran, District Immunization Officer Reasi acted as a Resource Person in the program who deliberated upon how Covid-19 Pandemic is creating disastrous effects globally, what are its safeguards and preventive measures and also what are the benefits of Vaccination. She urged upon all the participants to follow Covid Appropriate Behavior in its true sense and also take vaccination in order to fight Corona Virus Disease.
Advocate Rashi Baru acted as a Moderator in the above said online program. This On-line program was attended by the PLVs, Anganwari Workers, Senior Citizens and also by Panel Advocates.
The program was also attended by some rural people of District Reasi who were connected in this program through the PLVs. The objective of organizing this online program was to sensitize the participants about the intensity of Covid Virus Infection and what are the precautionary measures which can be adopted to break the chain of this infection so that our PLVs can further spread this Covid related awareness among marginalized and weaker sections of the society to the maximum possible extent.
An interactive session was also conducted by the Secretary, District Legal Service Authority, Reasi, in which the Resource Person responded to the Covid related queries raised by Panel Advocates and PLVs of District Reasi.
At the end of the program, the Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Reasi conveyed the vote of thanks to the participants.
