| Rape accused arrested | | |

Kishtwar, June 23: Kishtwar police arrested a person accused of rape from near Om Mehta Road Kishtwar.
As per the details available with Early Times, on 15/06/2021, Police Station Kishtwar received a written complaint from one person stating therein that his minor daughter (name withheld) aged about 13 years approximately was allegedly raped by one person namely Kamran Najjar S/O Muzaffer Najjar Resident of Near OM Mehta Road Kishtwar.
On receiving this complaint, a case FIR 137/2021 under 376/IPC & 4 POCSO Act was registered in Police Station Kishtwar and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation,SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS, constituted a special team under the supervision of Addl. SP Kishtwar Rajinder Singh led by Dy.SP Devindar Singh Bandral assisted by Inspector Abid Bukhari SHO PS Kishtwar, who acted swiftly and arrested the accused person involved in the commission of heinous crime. Further investigation into the matter is going on. |
