| Revenue Deptt demolishes illegal construction in Dhok Jagir | | |

AKHNOOR, June 23: The Revenue Department Akhnoor jointly conducted a demolition drive at revenue village Dhok Jagir of Tehsil Akhnoor. The demolition drive was carried by department after it received information that some encroachers have started encroaching around 6-7 kanals of Custodian land under Khasra Number 577 in Village Dhok Jagir of Tehsil Akhnoor. Team headed by SDM Akhnoor Chand Kishore Sharma immediately rushed to the spot along with the JCB and demolished the illegal construction done in the said custodian land.
SDM Akhnoor Chand Kishore Sharma while addressing the media said that the said land is Custodian land in which the accused parties have illegally executed the plinth work without any permission nor there was any allotment in their favour. He said that as soon as he got the information he immediately along with joint team of Tehsildar Akhnoor Surinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar Ashok Kumar, Inspector Ankuj Bhagat, PSI Baljeet Singh, Girdawar Ajay Kumar, Patwari Nishant Khajuria and Patwari Arvind Kumar reached the spot and demolished the illegal structure. He further said that no illegal encroachments on any kind of government land or water bodies will be spared.
