DC Rajouri reviews functioning of Revenue Department

RAJOURI, June 28: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today reviewed the functioning of the Revenue Department here at a meeting of the concerned officers held in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bunglow.
Among the others, ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Sambayal; ADC Kalakote, Krishan Lal; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; ACR, Tahir Mustafa Malik; AC Defence, Saleem Qureshi; Dy DEO, Parveen Akhter; Tehsildars; CAO, Shabana Azmin; WWO, Dr Anum Mirza besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The meeting had a detailed discussion on various issues including removal of encroachments on state/Kahcharai land, compensation cases, disposal of complaints under Governor grievances cell, preparation of Jamabandis, attestation of mutations, land acquisition for development projects, the status of the writing of Girdawaris.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the Revenue officers to expedite the process for timely completion of the vital tasks like the writing of jamabandi, attestation of mutations, writing of Girdawaris etc. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned revenue officers not to leave the station and ensure regular monitoring of the developmental activities being carried out in the areas of their respective jurisdictions.
The officers were also asked to conduct regular inspections of the Government offices to review their working.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the District Administration has decided to establish more recreational sites/ parks in every Tehsil of the district and asked the concerned officers to identify state land for the said purpose.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the revenue authorities to intensify anti-encroachment drives across all the tehsils of the district to vacate state and kahcharai land. He asked the tehsildars to furnish a weekly report about the removal of encroachments in their respective Tehsils. He also exhorted upon the concerned officers to ensure the involvement of the community and PRIs for safeguarding the retrieved land. The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized the need for maintaining a close coordination between Revenue and Police authorities during anti-encroachment drives. The concerned officers were also asked to intensify market checking to check black marketing, overpricing and hoarding and identify suitable state land in every Panchayat for the construction of the playgrounds and in the urban areas for construction of shelters for the homeless.
