| Amid third wave scare, only pediatrician posted at Mandi Hospital sent to DH Poonch | | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, June 28: The only child specialist posted in Mandi Hospital has been transferred to District Hospital Poonch where already two pediatricians are posted.
If sources are to be believed the child specialist was shifted after a word was put in by an influential person.
The Mandi had only child specialist but after the shifting of the child specialist people have been left in lurch.
“Two child specialists posted in Poonch hospital don’t have to see many patients but now one more doctor has been posted there.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch when contacted said that the attachment was made on the direction of DM Poonch and no other doctor has been sent to Mandi Hospital till date.
Asked that when a third Covid wave is expected in a few months, which could affect children, then why the only child specialist from Mandi hospital has been shifted, he said that he can’t do anything in this matter.
Despite repeated attempts District Magistrate Poonch couldn’t be contacted, he didn’t respond to the text messages sent to him. |
