BSS distributes clothes among poor, needy persons at border village | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 28: The J&K branch of Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) today distributed clothes among the needy persons at the border village of R S Pura in Jammu. The clothes were distributed to the needy persons by Swami Satyamitranandaji Maharaj, Incharge BSS, JK UT along with Chief Guest Prof Gharu Ram Bhagat, former Member of Legislative Assembly in the presence of other prominent persons of the area. Prof Gharu Ram Bhagat said that the initiative for providing clothing to poor and needy sections of the society and other activities of BSS highlight and reinvigorate our ethical traditions and serve as a guiding force for the betterment of humanity. He appealed to the Sangha to continue its humanitarian services for the disadvantaged sections of the society. “The society must come forward to help the poor and the needy. If all of us decide to donate clothes, a lot can be done to alleviate their suffering,” Bhagat said. Swami Satyamitranandaji Maharaj, Incharge BSS JK UT also highlighted activities of the organization in his address. “We are also focusing on providing clothes to underprivileged children and poor families and we also aim to reach to all the orphanages of J&K and people living in slum and far-flung areas,” said Swami Satyamitranandaji. He said following the ideology of its great founder Swami Pramanandaji Maharaj, BSS have been carrying out various campaigns at their level to distribute clothes among the needy people and students every year.
