Court grants 10 day police remand of accused in IED recovery case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 28: Special Judge Sunit Gupta today granted 10 days police remand of Nadeem-ul-Haq, son of Abdul Rehman R/o Lonepora Zanhil Tehsil Banihal Distt Ramban from whose possession yesterday police recovered 5-6 Kg IED at Narwal. The application has been filed by the IO of the case namely Bikram Kumar DySP, SDPO, City East, Jammu before this court through for grant of police remand for the aforesaid accused. Special Judge Sunit Gupta after gone through the application accused was arrested on 27.06.2021 in case/FIR NO. 234/2021 Police Station Bahu Fort for the offences u/ss 121/122 IPC, 13/18/23/38/39 UA(P) ACT & 4/5 Exp Act . The presence of the accused has been secured through virtual mode and I do not find any kind of external injury on his face or body. The accused is found to be medically examined by the medical officer today, itself and the medical certificate in this regard is also form the part of the remand application. The accused has been duly conveyed with regard to his legal rights. Since the matter is heinous in nature and some important aspects are required to be ascertained in the instant case for which police remand of the accused is required for the purpose of investigation. Hence, the petition is allowed and accused is remanded to the police custody for ten days w.e.f. 28.06. 2021 to 07.07.2021. (JNF) |
