Army launches search Op as suspected quadcopter spotted in Jammu outskirts | | | EArly Times Report
Jammu, June 28: A day after what is believed to be a drone attack on Jammu Air Force Station, the Army on Monday launched a search operation on spotting a suspected quadcopter in Kaluchak area here on the city outskirts along the Jammu-Pathankot national highway. Reliable sources said that early morning on Monday, the Army troops noticed a suspected object flying near the Military Station on Kaluchak-Purmandal road along the highway. "It was like suspected quadcopter but there is no official confirmation yet from the Army authorities," sources said. They said that searches are being carried out in the area. On Sunday morning, two blasts occurred at Jammu Air Force Station in which the explosive was suspected to be airdropped from the drones leaving two IAF personnel injured and portion of the building damaged in the high security zone. The teams of National Investigation Agency, Special Forces, Police, Senior IAF officers, reached the spot soon after the attack. The matter is likely to be handed over to the NIA for probe.
