EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 30: J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) held a Working Committee meeting today under the chairmanship of its president Prof Bhim Singh.
During the meeting, the JKNPP members were briefed about the proceedings of All Party Meet convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 24 at New Delhi.
While informing the members Prof Bhim Singh reiterated the stand of the JKNPP on various issues pertaining to J&K.
Prof Singh said that the Accession of J&K State to the Union of India has not been ratified till date by the Parliament of India as has been done for 575 princely States who signed the same Instrument of Accession to the Union of India. He urged the Prime Minister to urgently convene the Parliament as a Constituent Assembly to ratify and accept the J&K Instrument of Accession and include the J&K State into the Union of India constitutionally.
He demanded immediate restoration of the Statehood of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh as it existed on August 5, 2019 that included J&K and Ladakh as its constituents.
After restoration of Statehood the Governor shall constitutionally hold brief delimitation of the constituencies of the State and hold elections, Singh added.
He said that the Census of 2021 to be used as the basis for fresh delimitation and Assembly elections thereafter.
Those who attended the meeting were PK Ganju (Sr. Vice President), Anita Thakur (General Secretary), Capt Anil Gour, Neeraj Dewan, Naresh Chib, Rajesh Gupta and outstation members from Kathua, Poonch, Doda, Udhampur and Srinagar conferred on the phone due to their inability to attend the meeting in-person.
