BJP fails us in APM, alleges social activist | Where is J&K’s royal family? | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 30: Lambasting J&K BJP leaders for failing to raise Jammu’s sentiment during the All Party Meeting (APM), called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi, social activist Satveer Singh Manhas said only the royal family of J&K can rescue the state from open loot of our resources. It is very unfortunate that no one from the royal family was invited to attend the APM. “People from Delhi come here and loot our resources. Resources of the entire state are being looted by the Delhi”, he said, adding that why successors of last King of J&K Maharaja Hari Singh, were ignored. “Unfortunately, the Royal Family seems unbothered to fight for the rights of J&K’s people. They are more concerned about the party's ticket over the rights of J&K’s people '', he said, adding that if they were serious about the future of J&K, the PM would have been sitting in J&K to pacify them. “They can file a case for the rights and respect of their state in the International Court of Justice (JCI). But they are happy with what the political parties give them”, Manhas said, adding that he would be the first person to join them, if they launch a struggle for J&K’s rights. “BJP has miserably failed our sentiments in APM, only Prof Bhim Singh, who spoke for Jammu and the Ladakhs interests, all three BJP leaders headed by UT president, Ravinder Raina were busy showering praise of central leadership during the meeting”, he added.
